"In My Father’s house are many dwelling places, if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you."
(John 14:2, NASB)
The ‘place’ that Jesus mentions is your place in heaven. By accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior, you have accepted God’s gift of
salvation and will be there with Him. We at Westside Chapel rejoice in your decision; but even more than us, there is joy in heaven over your
decision (Luke 15:7)!
By taking this step of faith, you have begun a relationship with the living God. This will be a relationship like no other. Your Heavenly
Father loves you more than you know. He sent His Son to die on the cross, allowing your sins to be forgiven when you repent and ask for forgiveness.
As you begin the journey of your new Christian life, remember that His inspired words in scripture give us knowledge and understanding as to
what He has planned for our lives. This Bible is your starting point. Here are a few selected scriptures that will help as you begin your
walk with our Lord:
- John 3:16-17 – Reminds us how much God loves us
- Proverbs 3:5-7 – Encourages us to trust in the Lord
- Ephesians 4:22-24 – Explains that we are renewed in the likeness of God
- Philippians 4:6-7 – Comforts us knowing that God desires to hear our prayers
